MISTRESS OF DRAGONS
In the world of Dragonvald, an ancient race of dragons with its own parliament has kept apart from the race of men and refrained from meddling in their affairs. Since a renegade dragon, Maristara, seized the human realm of Seth three centuries earlier, an Amazonian order of priestesses with magical powers and the Mistress of Dragons have kept the peace. But evidence that Maristara and a partner-in-crime have indulged in their taste for human flesh means renewed trouble. Draconas, who can change into a man, sets forth into human territory to resolve the problem.
THE DRAGON'S SON
Melisande's twin sons, Marcus, "human, born of love and magic," and Ven, "half-dragon and half-human, born of evil," are at the crux of a conflict within the Parliament of Dragons that secretly watches over a wonderfully detailed landscape similar to medieval Earth's. The innocent twins grow up apart in vastly different worlds: Prince Marcus inherits his mother's dragon magic and lives a semi-normal life as King Edward of Idlyswylde's bastard son, while Ven, human from the waist up (but blue-scaled, white-clawed dragon from the waist down), grows up the impoverished charge of a cold, grieving ex-soldier. Dragon's blood imbues each boy with fantastic abilities, but also puts them in danger from rebel dragons disguised as humans.
MASTER OF DRAGONS
The trilogy's two renegade dragons, Ven, who's part dragon and part human, and his normal-appearing twin, Prince Marcus, seek to avenge their mother Melisande's brutal death. Marcus also hopes to protect Idylswylde, his father's kingdom, aided by the gypsy Evelina, who longs to trap Marcus into marriage. The twins have assumed human form by ripping the hearts out of living humans and taking over the bodies in a horrific plot to enslave humanity and rule dragonkind itself. While the fully human Marcus works to come into his dragon powers, his brother, Ven, who walks on dragon legs, denies his own powers. But it will take both of them as well as their mentor, Draconas, the dragon who walks in human form, to confront and defeat the evildoers.
